We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal and regulatory advice across a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial activities. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, joint venture partners, and external counsel, supporting complex transactions, compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and reliable legal advice across all areas of the business, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Lead legal negotiations while conducting risk assessments and due diligence for transactions.
• Engage and oversee external legal counsel to support business, compliance, and governance matters.
• Support joint venture governance, monitoring operations from a legal and compliance perspective and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Deliver legal training and compliance guidance, while staying ahead of legislative changes and driving proactive initiatives.
• Assist with corporate secretarial duties and maintain legal records in line with governance standards and company policy.
• Collaborate across divisions and jurisdictions, including coordination with international legal teams, to ensure cohesive legal support and risk mitigation.

About You:

• Admitted to practice law in Australia with 7–15 years’ experience.
• Proven expertise in corporate law, preferably within mining, oil & gas, or related sectors.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
