Assistant Hotel Manager

Seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Hotel Manager to support the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations.

About the Role

As Assistant Hotel Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in the daily operations of the hotel. You’ll uphold service excellence, foster a strong team culture, and drive strong financial performance across all departments.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll lead and support department heads across Rooms Division operation, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Functions and Kitchen. In close collaboration with the General Manager to help ensure efficient, financially sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide daily operational leadership across all departments

· Driving Sales to meet targets and budgets

· Mentor and guide department heads to meet service, staffing and financial objectives

· Support the General Manager with budgeting, forecasting, financial admin, and audits

· Foster a positive, accountable and collaborative team culture

· Lead improvements to internal systems and operational processes

· Act as the hotel lead in the absence of the General Manager

About You

You’re a responsible, confident, and capable hospitality professional with proven leadership experience. Calm under pressure and solutions-focused, you take pride in developing teams and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Essential Criteria

· Hospitality or management qualification, or equivalent industry experience

· Minimum 3 years demonstrated leadership in operations

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in hospitality systems (RMS, POS, rostering, purchasing)

· Organised, hands-on, and commercially minded

Desirable

· Prior experience in a hotel leadership or Assistant Manager role

· Operational knowledge across all key hotel departments

· Experience leading system upgrades or process improvements

· A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to professional development
