About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at the Palais Hotel in Semaphore. As Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Venue Manager and overseeing the day-to-day operations of this premier beachside establishment. This is a full-time position that offers ample opportunities for professional growth and development within our thriving organisation.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Venue Manager with all day to day hotel operations.

Ensuring exceptional customer service by leading and motivating the team

Overseeing staff rostering, recruitment, training, and performance management

Driving Sales to meet targets and budgets

Implementing and enforcing hotel policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Assistant Manager or Hotel Manager role within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

A customer focused mindset and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences with a hands on approach

Knowledge of all hotel operations, including food and beverage, gaming, H&L Pos System

A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to professional development

Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Understanding the Liquor and Gaming Act, associated codes of practice and have your RSA, RP and Gaming Badges

Flexibility to work over a seven day roster
