VACANCY - Project Officer – Murray Mallee Collaborative Project

Part-Time (0.8 FTE)

Looking for meaningful work that creates real change in the community?

Just 40 minutes up the Southeastern Freeway on the bank of the River Murray on the lands of the Ngarrindjeri people, the Rural City of Murray Bridge is one of South Australia’s fastest growing regions. Here, you will find a positive work environment that embraces dedicated and motivated people that want to help shape a growing and diverse community - and we want you to be part of it!

We’re on the lookout for a passionate Project Officer to lead exciting, community-driven projects under the Murray Mallee Collaborative Project.

Your work will help shape aged care reforms across the Murray Mallee, strengthening collaboration, supporting service delivery, and improving lives by:

working alongside a dedicated sector taskforce to facilitate regional collaborative links,

engaging and supporting aged care service stakeholders, and

contributing to the development of the sector and providing supports for the delivery of high-quality entry-level care services for clients.

Position Overview

This is a 0.8 FTE contract role through to 30 June 2026, with potential to extend to mid-2027. You'll be part of a collaborative inter-agency network (the Riverland, Mallee, Coorong Taskforce) and work independently, yet closely connected with both internal teams and external partners.

What your responsibilities include:

Supporting aged care services to implement national reforms and wellness-based approaches.

Building strong relationships with Community Home Support Program (CHSP) providers and key community agencies.

Delivering information, training and resources that empower providers and carers.

Facilitating innovative, responsive community projects that make a difference.

What we need from you:

A confident communicator and natural collaborator, with a background in community development, human services or aged care. You thrive in independent roles, know your way around project management and stakeholder engagement, and bring a flexible, creative mindset to the table.

Bonus points if you already know your way around the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and aged care sector reforms.

The key focus of this position is to work with the Riverland, Mallee, Coorong Taskforce (RMCT) which is a collaborative inter-agency network that supports the work of organisations working with older people and their carers. The project is funded by the (CHSP) and aims to facilitate service reform and improve service cooperation and coordination at the regional level.

Benefits

You will be working in a rewarding environment with real community impact where your proactive and customer-centric approach will be valued and appreciated. You will be encouraged to be creative and resourceful while being supported by workplace policies that are family friendly and flexible.

This is an exciting opportunity to have an impact shaping the future of the Aged Care Sector in our growing region.

The position is offered as a part-time role in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement within an annual FTE salary range of $93,645 - $97,770 dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience.
