The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Structural Foreman to join our growing team to deliver a technically complex industrial project based in Salisbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for the onsite delivery of the structural components of the project, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and program. You will be supported by a skilled team, including a Site Manager, Project Manager, and Contract Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the structural works onsite from start to finish
Lead subcontractors, trades, labour, and suppliers to achieve key project milestones
Ensure delivery of the project aligns with program, safety, quality, and budget requirements
Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, ITP reviews, and coordination meetings
Proactively resolve site issues with practical, solutions-focused thinking
Maintain and improve the construction program and sequencing
Lead by example and mentor team members in line with Melrose values
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a similar structural or foreman role, preferably in industrial projects
Trade qualification or equivalent construction background highly regarded
Prior experience in structural steel and concrete works advantageous
Familiarity with systems like HammerTech, Procore, and MS Project preferred
Ability to work well under pressure, lead teams, and maintain a safety-first culture
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Well-organised, solutions-oriented, and professional
Driver’s licence required
QBCC Site Supervisor Licence preferred but not essential
Demonstrated reliability and consistency in previous roles
