About the Role

We’re growing—and this is your chance to grow with us. Foodbank Queensland is excited to introduce a newly created Development Coordinator role within our Marketing and Fundraising department. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new position from the ground up while contributing to life-changing work across our state.

As our Development Coordinator, you’ll provide essential coordination and administrative support to our Development Team, helping to deepen donor relationships and support major gift and partnership fundraising. From researching prospects to preparing donor materials and helping coordinate impactful events, your work will be at the heart of our purpose to fight hunger.

You'll work closely with the Development Manager and a dedicated, friendly team that thrives on collaboration, purpose and shared success. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, curious, proactive and genuinely passionate about making a difference.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct in-depth research and prepare donor profiles
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in our CRM (Salesforce)
  • Provide high-quality administrative and project support
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, reports and stewardship materials
  • Help coordinate donor events, site visits and campaigns
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to keep things running smoothly
  • Bring your energy and ideas to a team that values initiative and care

Who You Are

You will be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Experience in administration, coordination, or a fundraising/marketing environment
  • Familiarity with CRMs (Salesforce highly regarded)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Experience in the charity sector or donor engagement is a big plus
  • A team player who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-led environment
  • Event coordination experience is desirable but not essential

Why Join Us?

Be a part of a purpose-driven organisation where the work you do really does have an impact on the lives of many families living in Queensland. Enjoy benefits including:

  • Not-for-profit salary packaging
  • Learning, development, and career growth
  • Flexible work options
  • 12 weeks paid Parental Leave
  • Gifted Holiday closure leave
  • An employee assistance program for you and your family
