Position Description – Chef De Partie
Sailor’s Grill Drummoyne has a current vacancy for an experienced Chef de Partie.
Key tasks and responsibilities of the role:
Menu planning, undertaking estimations of food and labour costs and ordering food supplies;
Ensuring quality control through monitoring of dishes during preparation and presentation;
Engaging with management, kitchen and waiting staff in discussing on food preparation issues;
Demonstrating and test techniques and advise staff on cooking procedures;
Prepare and cook food for commercial size workforce;
Explain and enforce hygiene regulations in commercial kitchens;
Freezing and preserving foods as required;
Engage in staff development and training.
Key skills and experience required:
- AQF Cert IV in Commercial Cookery with a Diploma in Hospitality Management or higher
qualification;
- Minimum two years of relevant Australian work experience;
- Proficiency in the English language;
- Excellent communication – both written and verbal;
- Strong understanding of workplace WHS procedures;
- Authority to work in Australia.
We currently have a vacancy for the position of Chef De Partie and the salary on offer for the
position is $76,150.00 per annum plus superannuation.
