About the job
The Software Engineer (Salesforce & Backend) will contribute to the enhancement of product features, focusing on the integration and development of Salesforce solutions while adopting a DevOps mindset to ensure seamless maintenance and improvement of the platform.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Salesforce Flows, configurations, and integrations to support evolving business needs.
- Manage Salesforce CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and platform maintenance, ensuring system reliability and clean integrations with backend systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to support robust data syncing, integration via APIs, and delivery of key metrics.
- Engage with stakeholders across digital, research, clinical, and implementation teams to ensure features are user-focused and delivered effectively.
- Contribute to a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and team collaboration.
Skills and experience
The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in declarative Salesforce development, environment management, and modern CI/CD practices (e.g., SFDX, Gearset, Copado).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, integration patterns, and API-based connectivity with backend systems (Python, PHP, Docker).
- Proven ability to manage complex release processes, change tracking, and test automation in multi-system environments.
- Skilled collaborator with excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a systems-thinking mindset and a strong focus on continuous improvement and system stability.

- Salary between $120,000 - $130,000 commensurate with skills and experience + 12% superannuation and $15,900 in NFP salary packaging + $2,600 meals and entertainment card.
