The Role
Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the future of our community? The Town is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead the delivery of our capital works program on a 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract.
In this role, you will provide technical expertise and oversee the effective management of infrastructure projects, utilizing a combination of wet hire and contracted services. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered in line with approved designs, within scope, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Some additional accountabilities of the Project Manager include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of capital works projects, ensuring quality, safety, and budget alignment.
- Overseeing financial management, contractor engagement, and compliance with funding and legislative requirements.
- Collaborating on project design and scope to meet program milestones and community needs.
- Managing consultants and contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Providing expert advice on infrastructure standards, risk management, and WHS compliance.
- Fostering strong partnerships to support best-practice community infrastructure delivery.
- Contributing to strategic planning, including the Town's 10-year capital works program.
Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or extensive demonstrated experience.
- Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
- National Police Clearance.
