About the opportunity

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be embedded in a major civil engineering project, supporting delivery across design resolution, stakeholder coordination, operations alignment and performance oversight.

You’ll work closely with Smart Nine’s Program Manager and a team of subject matter experts to protect clients’ interests, ensure compliance and drive decisions that support long-term asset performance.

What you'll do

· Manage stakeholder interfaces across a large-scale civil engineering or commercial development projects

· Assess proposed design changes for operational and contractual impact

· Collaborate with specialist design reviewers to ensure high-quality and practical solutions

· Integrate civil disciplines including pavements, structures, electrical and ITS systems

· Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team to deliver project objectives

What you’ll bring

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

· Strong background in civil infrastructure, particularly roads, tunnels and transport works

· Proven ability to interpret, assess and influence complex designs for real-world application

· Familiarity with construction contracts, entitlements and O&M requirements

· Clear and confident communicator, able to work across multiple stakeholder groups

· Collaborative mindset and solution-oriented approach
