  • Location: Parramatta
  • Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 with salary ranging from $145,378 to $168,130 + super and annual leave loading

About the role

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead critical psychology development programs for the NSW School Counselling Service.

As the Manager, Psychology Programs and Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering evidence-based mental health initiatives within the Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services. You'll drive the development of innovative programs to strengthen the school counselling workforce and enhance the wellbeing of students across diverse educational settings.

You'll work with a passionate team, contribute to pioneering wellbeing strategies, and help shape a culture of care and support in education.

About you
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to working in team environments.

Key Knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of the delivery of high-quality psychology and counselling support in schools.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
