About the Role:

HSY Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Joinery Factory Foreman to join our team in Auburn, NSW. As the Joinery Factory Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our factory, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of custom cabinetry and furniture. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth and success of our well-established business.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision & Coordination: Lead and coordinate a team of carpenters, cabinet makers, and other tradespeople, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality output.

Production Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer deadlines while optimizing factory resources.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, meeting both client specifications and safety regulations.

Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or issues to maintain continuous workflow.

Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and improving team performance.

Collaboration: Work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery from start to finish.

Key Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a similar role, such as Joinery Factory Foreman or Production Supervisor, within the carpentry and cabinetry industry.

Skills: Exceptional woodworking and joinery skills with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Leadership: Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of motivating and managing a diverse team.

Technical Expertise: Proficient in the operation of woodworking machinery and tools, with a solid understanding of joinery processes.

Health & Safety: Thorough knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt as needed.

Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards across all aspects of production.
