Our client has been supporting the music community in Australia for decades. They are well-established players that operate with ethics and the agility to navigate an ever-changing industry landscape.

Located in fantastic offices in central Sydney, they have a large finance team with a lot of impressive tenure. This creates the opportunity for this role to learn from strong mentors and also step up when the time is right.

There is WFH flexibility of 2 days a week.

The Role

This role will support the team in the following areas:

Month-end reconciliations and related journals, including intercompany accounts, sundry debtors/creditors and international revenue

Management of expense accruals and royalty reconciliations

Withholding tax & payment management

Daily bank reconciliations, including FX payments

Assistance with distribution payments

Ad hoc reporting for clients through Excel

Assisting with management reporting with other supporting tasks

Your Background

We are looking for sparky, enthusiastic Assistant Accountants with good month-end experience. This will include:

Journals, prepayments and accruals on your resume

A degree in Accounting as a minimum is essential

Fantastic English communication skills

A valid working visa to work permanently in Australia (485 visas are acceptable if they have more than 12 months left until expiry)

Strong Excel – Vlookups & Pivot tables, and the ability to create meaningful ad-hoc reports
