What you'll do
As the Senior Project Officer you will analyse and report patient safety and quality related data such as statewide clinical incident and consumer feedback data, and identify new and/or appropriate analytical methodologies, adapting these to Queensland Health's needs for Patient Safety and Quality (PSQ).
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively participate in the design, development and testing of information and reporting systems, and the management of data quality issues, utilising a quality improvement framework.
- Initiate, design, develop and publish or disseminate accurate statistical reports and communication materials for use in system manager, whole-of-government and national publications.
- Take responsibility for the identification of new and appropriate methodologies, and adaptation of them to Queensland Health's needs.
- Undertake health-related benchmarking studies.
- Ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools in accordance with Queensland Health Policy.
- Initiate, influence and maintain relationships between internal and external stakeholders to gain support and understanding of project benefits.
About you
We are searching for someone who demonstrates:
- Ability in the use of information technology systems to collect, analyse, report and disseminate data.
- Written communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality documentation, accurate reports and project communications.
- Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
- Ability to contribute to the development of project plans, deliver outcomes and manage competing work priorities to meet agreed deadlines and commitments.
