Are you passionate about offering high quality spa services and supporting the well-being of guests? Be part of one of the only eco-tourism family in the world that provide spa services to their guests while on track.

Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) has a rich history in eco-tourism, dating back to 1987 with the launch of the iconic Cradle Mountain Huts Walk. Over the following thirty years, TWC has expanded its offering to deliver a collection of outstanding guided walks including the Bay of Fires, Three Capes, Bruny Island, Tasman and Cradle Mountain.

Our mission is to provide superb, guided journeys out of everyday life into wild land and seascapes. We are driven by shared values: a sense of belonging, genuine fun, wowing guests, environmental and cultural integrity, simplicity, and passionate leadership.

About the role:

We have 3 exciting casual opportunities for Spa Therapists who are passionate about delivering quality treatments through a unique, nurturing, and holistic guest experience.

Enjoy the breath-taking views of the Munro Bight and Tasman National Park as you offer a range of services at the Cape Pillar Lodge Spa.

We offer massage (and some spa) services exclusively to guests partaking in The Three Capes Walk based near Cape Pillar on the Southeast Coast of Tasmania. Here you will experience true communion with nature, combining simplicity and an off-grid lifestyle.

You will spend 5 to 6 days out at a time, working a rotating roster of 6 days on / 8 days off and 5 days on / 9 days off.

As a hybrid Spa and Lodge Assistant position, between spa-related services and operations, you will also support the eco-lodge with general operational needs and some cleaning tasks. Please note, there is a 3-hour hike into the lodge from Fortescue Bay at the start and end of your shift, for which you will be paid.

This Position starts in mid-August and runs through June, with in-field pre-season training scheduled for the week of August 18th.

What you will bring:

The ideal candidates for this role will meet these essential requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a similar role or industry preferred.
  • Be flexible and adaptable with a high level of professionalism and well-presented.
  • Experienced with using online booking systems and schedules (Fresha System preferred)
  • Possess effective communication, rapport building skills and organizational skills.
  • Be self-motivated, reliable, autonomous, resilient and comfortable working alone.
  • Able to travel to and work in a remote location, and comfortable hiking up to 3 hours with a pack weighing up to 10kg
  • Inspired and excited by off-grid infrastructure and motivated to uphold and maintain the spa’s overall appearance.
  • Have a passion for outdoors, wellbeing, and wilderness experiences

For this role you are expected to hold, maintain & renew:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Beauty or Massage (or equivalent)
  • Provide First Aid: HLTAID011 (must be current)
  • Provide CPR: HLTAID009 (must be current within 1 year)

Why work for us:

  • Accommodation and meals provided when working.
  • Established employee wellbeing program (Employee Assistance Program)
  • Family & friends discounts across our walking products.
  • Exclusive pro-deals program for access to discounted adventure gear
  • Work in an exceptionally beautiful environment, be inspired by a rich connection to place, and be surrounded by nature.
