Job Opportunity: Experienced Electrician for Exciting New Virtual Battery Project in North Queensland

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the future of energy and gain hands-on experience in a rapidly growing field.

Position: Electrician (Full-Time)

Location: Townsville
Work Type: Full-Time, On-the-Job Training Provided

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Solar Installation Jobs: Oversee and manage solar installation projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.

Design Solar Panel Installation: Plan roof layout of solar panels to optimise system performance and meet building requirements.

Supervise and manage staff: Manage roofing staff and supervise electrical apprentices.

Switchboard Work: Design and install switchboard upgrades, ensuring they meet all electrical and safety standards.

Check Solar Design Compliance: Review solar designs to ensure they meet all relevant compliance standards, including electrical and safety requirements.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with a dedicated, close-knit team to drive success on the virtual battery project.

Safe Work Procedures: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with JSA and safe work procedures during daily activities.

About You:

5-10 years of trade experience in electrical work.

Proven ability to perform electrical testing for voltage, insulation resistance, voltage drop & CCA calculations, and switchboard design.

Solar and battery accreditation is highly desirable but not essential.

A reliable and trustworthy professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Willingness to work in extreme heat – North Queensland is known for its hot conditions, so resilience is key.
