About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working creatively with neurodivergent young people and adults to build functional skills, confidence, and independence in real-world settings.
You will provide assessments, interventions, and capacity-building supports across home, community, and program environments, with a focus on life skills, vocational readiness, and sensory regulation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct functional assessments and develop individualised therapy plans
Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support:
Daily living skills (e.g., cooking, hygiene, transport training)
Emotional regulation and sensory processing
Executive functioning and vocational readiness
Collaborate with support coordinators, families, and allied health professionals
Provide input into NDIS reports and progress reviews
Support program delivery in group settings (e.g., career discovery, community access)
Participate in reflective practice, supervision, and team development
Essential Criteria
Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disability, or psychosocial disability
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community-based setting
Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Desirable Criteria
Experience with NDIS-funded services and documentation
Knowledge of sensory integration, assistive technology, or positive behaviour support
Experience supporting school leavers or young adults transitioning to work or further education
