Alpine Children's Services (ACS) is a not-for-profit community organisation providing high-quality early childhood education and care to families in the Alpine Shire. ACS promotes the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children. We offer a warm, engaging workplace in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Compliance
Support the Centre Manager in ensuring efficient and effective running of the service
Ensure high level of OH&S standards are maintained at all times
Act as Responsible Person and assist with centre operations in the Director’s absence.
Support the Centre Director with admin tasks like rostering, enrolments, and parent communication.
Mentorship & Professional Development
Mentor educators and create an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment.
Champion reflective practice, sustainability, and inclusive teaching.
Collaborative Culture & Capacity Building
Drive continuous improvement through the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
Coach and mentor educators to deliver high-quality programs
Community Engagement & Family Partnerships
Build and foster strong partnerships with families, community, and educators.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
Current training in Child Safe Standards and trauma-informed practice.
First Aid/CPR/ Valid Working with Children Check or VIT
5+ years working in Early Childhood, ideally experience in multicultural environments and teams; ideally 2 years at least in leadership roles (EL or room leader)
Driving license preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
Pedagogical excellence and a growth mindset.
Flexible and at ease across all age groups
Strong understanding of child development and contemporary educational practices.
In-depth knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, VEYLDF, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and ECA Code of Ethics.
Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation.
Ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, providing mentorship and modelling best practices.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
