My client, a national mid-tier chartered accounting firm with international affiliations is seeking an Undergraduate Accountant / Junior Accountant to join their team. They provide accounting, tax, corporate advisory and audit services to a diverse client base. You will gain exposure in various accounting areas/disciplines, providing the best building blocks to a young accountant’s career.

Responsibilities of the role includes:

Preparation of financials and income tax returns of companies, trusts, partnerships AND individuals

Preparation of BAS, GST and FBT returns

Calculate CGT and Div7A loans

Work across bookkeeping and management accounting function for clients

Correspondence with the ATO, ASIC, legal and banking institutions on behalf of clients in relation to client documents

Learn to identify value-add opportunities

Assist Manager with building on existing client relationships and liaising with companies across manufacturing, retail, construction, professional services, medical and more.

Candidates:

Currently studying a bachelors degree in accounting/commerce

Previous experience in an Australian accounting firm highly favourable but not necessary

Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Keen interest in accounting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
