Meela Child Care Centre is a not for profit community-based Centre that focuses on our families, located in Mount Lawley. We are licensed for up to 55 children on a daily basis and cater for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years.

This role is for 10-12 months of Parental Leave Cover for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher for 2 days per week in a job share with an existing ECT (12 hours per week with the possibility of extra days in the future)

Duties and Responsibilities

Fundamental role in the design, implementation and evaluation of programs for children in collaboration with educators, which meet the Centre’s philosophy and policies, Government Regulations, EYLF and NQS.

Collaborate with educators and assist with curriculum direction and guidance.

Ensure the children’s learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks

Collaborate with families in regards to the educational program

A positive & passionate attitude towards Early Years Education

Be able to work autonomously and think outside the box

Essential Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Teaching or ACECQA-approved equivalent

Current Teaching Registration

Demonstrate extensive understanding and adherence to the EYLF and NQF

First Aid Certificate (HLTAID004) and valid WWCC
