The opportunity

Tier 1 Drilling Australia is seeking a diligent and motivated Drillers assistant to join our team. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our experienced drilling professionals in the field.

Key responsibilities

Assist drillers in the set-up, operation and maintenance of drilling equipment

Ensure a safe working environment by following all health and safety protocols

Provide general labour support, including manual handling and transport of equipment

Communicate effectively with the drilling team to ensure efficient and coordinated operations

Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and equipment usage

Proactively identify and report any issues or challenges to the drilling supervisor

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Drillers assistant or in a similar role within the mining, resources or energy industry

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the drilling crew

Commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to follow procedures

Willingness to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment

A valid driver's licence and ability to obtain any necessary site-specific licences or certifications
