About the role

We are seeking an experienced commercial cook to join our dynamic team at Fed by Jed in Bannockburn, Victoria. As a casual commercial cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our customers in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

Prepare a variety of dishes following recipes and presentations standards

Ensure all food preparation and cooking procedures meet health and safety regulations

Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal production and containers. Lidding and chilling of meals to meet delivery standards

Maintain a clean and organised work station

Assist with inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies

Provide excellent customer service and respond to any special requests

What we're looking for

At least 2 years' experience as a commercial cook or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety standards

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work efficiently in a commercial kitchen environment

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Good communication and customer service skills

Main shifts will be tues,wed,thursday 7am until 5pm. This role may evolve hours wise to work with the current owner /chef to split up the workload

Be physically fit to lift heavy commercial cooking equipment
