The Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate Family Safety Advocate to join the Connect and Respect team.
The Family Safety Advocate ensures the safety and support of those affected by an intimate partner or family violence. This role involves building respectful relationships with clients, including women, children, and families, to ensure their safety and connect them with appropriate services.
As part of the Connect and Respect team, the advocate works with perpetrator case managers to enhance victim-survivor safety.
This position is a permanent full-time role, with a workload of 76 hours per fortnight. The role has the opportunity to be based at any of the following locations; Armadale, Fremantle, Perth, Rockingham or Mandurah. Occasional travel may be required.

Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology with a specialisation in Family Violence, and/or significant experience in the family and domestic violence.
Experience in working with and understanding of the developmental and therapeutic needs of children who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect.
Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with individuals and groups.
Cultural competency to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and understanding of the confidentiality and professional boundary protocols related to interactions with victim-survivors and perpetrators of Family Domestic Violence and Abuse
Knowledge and understanding of the National plan to end violence against women and children 2022-2032
Unrestricted driver's licence, Police clearance, Working With Children Check.
