About the Client

Our client is Australia’s leading integrated steel manufacturing, distribution and recycling business, providing solutions for commercial, industrial and residential construction. They have a site based in Hemmant (QLD) and have multiple vacancies for Production Welding to commence immediately in an ongoing role.

About the Role

As a Production Welder you will be a critical member of the team, working in welding section to tack and form reinforced mesh cages and bars. With day and afternoon shifts available, you will have the opportunity to move into a position that suits your lifestyle.

Day Shift

Hours : 5am – 1pm (Monday to Friday)

Rate : $38.26/hour with penalties

Afternoon Shift

Hours : 1pm – 9pm (Monday to Friday)

Rate : $38.26/hour with penalties + $5.74 afternoon shift allowance

Duties and Responsibilities

Operating various production machinery to bend, cut and measure materials

Ensuring your workspace is well maintained

Work collaboratively with other team members & provide proactive solutions & actions to get the job done, safely and efficiently.

You will be trained on how to use the machines. The only pre-requisite for this role is you must have some form of welding experiences in a previous role and wanting to pursue a career in production/manufacturing.

Skills and Experience

Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport

Able to follow directions and instructions

Promote a strong Safety culture

Previous welding experience

Mechanical aptitude

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
