About the role

This role is part of the St Vincent’s Lismore Finance Team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

In this role you will maintain accurate financial records and perform data analysis to meet deadline-driven reporting and regulatory requirements. Your accounting duties and responsibilities will be diverse and will include but not be limited to:

• Preparing month end accounting, month end accruals and adjusting entries
• Preparing financial/management reports on a monthly/quarterly basis, including analytical review to inform strategic financial decisions
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts including reviewing and resolving issues
• Preparing BAS/FBT & PAYG lodgements & reconciliations
• Assisting with annual financial reports and liaising with internal & external auditors
• Assisting with organisational budgets and forecasting
• Partnering with senior leaders to align organisational and financial goals

This is a permanent, part-time role (3 to 4 days/week) based on our St Vincent’s Lismore campus in Lismore.

Your skills & experience

• Business or Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting
• CA/CPA qualifications, or working towards completing
• 3 years accounting experience, with commercial and/or management accounting experience being highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to expertly navigate Finance systems and streamline business processes
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to achieve outstanding results.
