Coaching is at the heart of Haileybury’s sporting experience, and we are seeking an experienced leader to help shape the future of our evolving coaching workforce. This pivotal role will drive coaching quality across all levels—from participation to high-performance—while supporting the implementation of our new sports strategy. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to engage and develop a dynamic team of coaches, oversee a vibrant before/after-school and holiday coaching program, and build on the exciting momentum of the Haileybury Swim Club.
Responsibilities:
Coaching Strategy & Program Delivery: Develop Haileybury’s coaching philosophy, co-create sport-specific playbooks, and lead broader out-of-hours sports programming, and Swim Club programs.
Coach Recruitment & Development: Recruit qualified coaches, drive professional learning and mentoring, and support student involvement in coaching and officiating.
Culture & Performance: Build a positive sports culture, manage external coaching partners, and implement systems to evaluate and enhance coaching impact.
About You:
At Haileybury we are looking for applicants who have possess the following:
Strategic Leader with experience driving large scale program development, adopting a player-centric philosophy across youth and senior sport.
Skilled Developer in coach recruitment, mentoring, education, and building sport-specific programs aligned with performance pathways.
Results-Focused Manager with a strong track record in evaluating coaching impact, managing external partnerships, and growing co-curricular and student leadership pathways.
