About the role
This exciting opportunity exists within our Infrastructure Delivery Services Division, based in Kerang. We are responsible for the strategic management of GMW’s infrastructure and assets to ensure appropriate asset management policy, planning and coordinated delivery of capital and maintenance programs is achieved.
The Automation Technician’s role is primarily responsible for the ongoing maintenance and technical support of all Automated Assets within GMW’s assets infrastructure. These assets include regulators, metering outlets, communication nodes, telemetry networks and their associated equipment.
We would like to hear from you if you meet the following:
Ability to inspect and identify faults in automated and Electrical assets and undertake repairs to damaged equipment.
Knowledge of contemporary wiring standards.
Knowledge of AC / DC electrical theory.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Ability to read electrical drawings / schematics
Advantageous (desired) skills:
Knowledge in the maintenance of instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLC), remote terminal units (RTUs), SCADA systems, telemetry and radio systems, and associated programming applications.
RTU Programming and Configuration.
Knowledge of automated irrigation systems.
Certificate 3 in telecommunications or similar electronics qualification.
Understanding of SCADA network and ability to remotely diagnose failures within the automated system
Australian Electrical A Grade Licence or relevant trade qualifications.
