Employment Type: [Permanent Part-Time - 27 hours per week]
Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe and welcoming spaces? We're looking for a Cleaning Assistant to join our team at our Retirement Living Village, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the health, comfort and dignity of our residents.

About the Role:
As a Cleaning Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the village's communal and residential spaces remain clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standard. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Following scheduled cleaning routines across common areas, including lounges, hallways, dining spaces, and bathrooms
- Performing detailed weekly cleans in line with our village's procedures
- Spot-cleaning as needed and attending to spills promptly
- Checking and restocking supplies such as hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper
- Emptying and sanitising bins, replacing liners
- Supporting hygiene standards that ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents, visitors and fellow team members
- Occasional high cleaning (e.g. dusting fans, vents, or ceiling corners) in communal areas
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe use of cleaning chemicals
About You:
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in their work
- Can follow cleaning routines and manage their time effectively
- Understands the importance of cleanliness in shared living spaces
- Brings a respectful and friendly approach when interacting with older residents
- Can work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Has experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities role (preferred but not essential)
Requirements:
- Current right to work in Australia
- Willingness to undergo a Police Check (or NDIS Worker Screening, if applicable)
- Availability for some weekend or out-of-hours shifts if required
