About Us:

Colomba® Cleaners for Seniors focuses on providing essential domestic cleaning services to support seniors to stay in a safe and clean home for longer. We also assist with some decluttering and organising services to provide better access for our clients within their homes.

We are looking for people living on Sunshine Coast who want to make a difference, are honest, reliable and trustworthy. We are looking for cleaners in locations across the Sunshine Coast to take over some existing client regular cleans and assist with some spring cleans. We have a number of spring cleans to be completed and are increasing our regular clean customer base, areas in demand are Buderim, Maroochydore, Caloundra, Sippy Downs and Nambour.

We welcome people from all walks of life - you might be just starting out in the workforce, or returning to work after some time off, or been a cleaner for some time, but would like a change.

The Role

Our Casual Cleaners / Domestic Assistants provide essential cleaning and some decluttering services to our clients helping them to maintain and enhance their homes and their standard of living whilst reducing health and safety risks.

The work will mainly include domestic cleans, Spring Cleans and Deep Cleans. Common services include:

Regular Domestic Clean

● Floors - sweep or vacuum plus mop

● Bathrooms - clean vanity/mirrors/showers/baths/toilets

● Dusting / polishing

● Making bed and / changing sheets

● General laundry - washing, hanging out, drying, folding, sorting

● Wash dirty dishes/ pots and pans

● Sort and dispose of out-of-date food in fridge / pantry

Spring, Ready for Sale, Settlement or Bond Clean

● Ceiling fans (requires use of a ladder)

● Windows - inside and outside (including lifting window out, cleaning and replacing)

● Light fittings

● Wash walls and ceilings

● Skirting boards

● Clean oven, grill, rangehood

● Wipe down benches/ splash back

● Empty kitchen cupboards - wipe down inside, outside, on top and reorganize contents

● Move furniture to clean underneath and behind, including fridge and washing machine

● Sweep carport, garage, outside

Declutter, Organise, Pack and Unpack

● Work with clients to ascertain what is to be kept and put items away neatly

● Pack items ready for donation, leave for pick up or deliver to an op shop

● Rubbish to be put in bins onsite, left for collection or taken offsite, recycle where possible

What we are looking for

Ability to work 15 plus hours a week

Respectful communication skills

Client / Customer focused

Ability to follow manager and client instructions, see and do extras

Time management, being able to work within the specified time frame

Commitment to supporting clients to live independently

Understanding of boundaries required to maintain professional relationships with clients

Smart phone

Successful candidates must also be able to provide evidence of the following:

Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia, ie. Australian citizen or permanent residency

Pre-employment satisfactory National criminal history prior to employment

Current QLD Drivers license

Permanent access to a registered, roadworthy and reliable motor vehicle
