Community Manager – over 55s Community
The Role
You will be acting as the Community Manager for Clifton Old Bar, a purpose-built lifestyle resort for active and independent over 55s, located in Old Bar on the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW.
Your responsibilities as Community Manager will include:
Managing the operations of the Clifton Old Bar community on a day-to-day basis;
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with community residents, and acting as their key point of contact for any enquiries, operational issues or concerns;
Responsibility for resident welfare, including involvement in coordinating social events and activities within the community;
Ensuring that all community assets (including buildings, grounds, and equipment) are tidy, well-maintained and presented to a high standard at all times;
Managing gardening/landscaping contractors and staff, cleaning contractors, maintenance contractors and other tradespeople to assist with the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the community;
Developing a working knowledge of legislation and regulations which are relevant to the operation of the community, and ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant requirements;
Assisting as required with support for purchasers throughout the home construction process (i.e. in the period after they have contracted to purchase a home, but are waiting for the home to be built and handed over);
Promoting the community within the local area and assisting with marketing initiatives as required;
Undertaking administrative tasks as required;
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other members of the Clifton Lifestyle team, and reporting to team members as required; and
Other related activities as required.
Timing
We are hoping for the successful candidate to commence as soon as possible.
Location
The successful candidate will be based in our Clifton Old Bar property (located in Old Bar, on the Mid-North Coast of NSW).
Hours
This is a permanent part-time role, 22.5 hours per week.
We offer flexibility in how those hours are worked — for example:
Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 3:00pm, or
Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in managing a retirement village or lifestyle community is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
High level of professionalism, attention to detail and good administrative skills also required.
Computer skills and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) system is a positive.
Understanding of the retirement sector and specifically land lease communities / manufactured home estates is a positive.
Remuneration
We are offering a salary of $78,000 + super (FTE) — pro rata to 22.5 hrs/week
This permanent part-time role is 0.6 FTE (3 days/week), with a pro-rata salary of approx. $46,800 + super.
