Normanton Foodworks (NFW) is a newly established retail complex located on the main street of Normanton in QLD's pristine Gulf country.

On the 23rd of November 2022 the brand new 1000 square meter, multi million dollar complex was officially opened bringing a fresh new look to the community while boasting a modern fit out with up to date ICT and POS infrastructure.

Currently NFW provides a broad range of retail goods to the community including:

General domestic goods.

Fresh fruit and vegetables.

Bakery goods.

Meat and seafood.

Lotto.

Diesel and fuel.

Whitegoods, electronics, hardware, clothing.

Takeaway food.

About the position

Due to the promotion of the current Store Manager, NFW is recruiting for a talented and business savvy leader to take over the role in managing the day to day operations of the store.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our management team to achieve operational objectives and financial targets. The position plays a critical role in maintaining business management and sales systems; maintaining records to meet business compliance requirements; leading, coordinating and supervising staff, ensuring NFW continues to deliver a first class service to our local and regional customers.

About you

To be successful in these positions you will be able to demonstrate:

Effective technical skills and retail business acumen, leadership qualities and supervisory experience that will drive the business’s daily operations and achieve business planning and development strategies.

Your ability to be a self-starter, have drive and able to work both independently and as an effective team member where required.

Your ability to mentor, develop, influence, persuade and direct team members with courtesy and respect to achieve results.

Resilience and an understanding of the challenges faced living in regional/remote communities.

Knowledge of and compassion for indigenous culture and the challenges face by indigenous people in remote communities.

Relevant retail store management experience.

Relevant retail store management experience that includes kitchen and bakery operations and sales will be highly regarded.
