Hourly Rate: $33.83 per hour (plus 25% casual loading)

The Greater Shepparton City Council is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Children's Services team in the capacity of Casual Food Safety Supervisor.

This role is ideal for professionals committed to promoting healthy eating habits and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to children within our long day care services. Working across our four centres, the successful applicant will be responsible for preparing morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, while ensuring compliance with all food safety standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of meals for children in accordance with set menus and dietary guidelines

Adherence to the Council’s Food Safety Program and relevant legislative requirements

Maintenance of a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment

Requirements:

Availability for a minimum of three shifts per week between 7:15am and 3:30pm

Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen setting

Sound knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to get one

Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or willingness to obtain.

First Aid in a Childcare Setting Certificate

CPR certificate

Anaphylaxis Certificate
