The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production & Logistics scheduler to join our team based at our exciting state of the art Edinburgh site. The position is available for the right candidate to commence immediately!

The Production & Logistics scheduler is responsible for liaising with customers regarding order confirmations and delivery information, liaising with the transport team and other critical stakeholders involved in the order and delivery lifecycle. The Production & Logistics scheduler will work closely with the account manager regarding all order and delivery enquiries, changes and final feedback.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Contribute to our safety culture and drive a safe workplace. Safety must be at the forefront of everything we do!

Be the main point of contact for all customer communications regarding delivery information and confirmations

Work in sync with the account manager to ensure schedules, production and delivery align with customer expectations

Liaise with the transport team regarding truck/trailer requirements, site access and load requirements

Reschedule delivery dates when required, including updating paperwork and delivery calendars

Daily maintenance of 'Team Up' (specialized calendar system)

Liaising with site contacts (such as site managers, yard managers and department supervisors) regarding order information

Liaising with Production Assistants and other team members involved in the order/delivery lifecycle

Investigate customer feedback & complaints

Investigate order & delivery discrepancies

This role would ideally suit someone with the below skills and attributes:

Proven experience in a scheduling/logistics role that is the 'gatekeeper' between multiple areas of the business

Time management skills with an ability to prioritize workflow and customer orders

Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally

Experience in production and/or delivery scheduling

Ability to prioritize and multi-task priorities whilst working in a fast-paced environment

A continuous improvement mindset

Strong communication skills (both verbally and written) with the ability to negotiate successful outcomes

Experience using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Planner)
