About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Spinal Fellow to join our dynamic and highly specialised team. In this advanced training role, you’ll play a central part in delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient care under the direct supervision of senior spinal consultants and the Head of Unit. This is an exceptional opportunity to refine your clinical expertise in complex spinal conditions while working alongside leading practitioners in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day clinical management of spinal patients, active participation in the after-hours roster, and involvement in clinical review and quality assurance programs. You will also support the supervision and development of junior medical staff and contribute to post-graduate teaching initiatives. This fellowship offers a unique platform for career progression, hands-on learning, and meaningful contributions to the delivery of advanced spinal care.
About You
You are an experienced and dedicated medical professional with advanced training in spinal surgery or neurosurgery. With strong clinical judgement and a collaborative approach, you are ready to take on a leadership-oriented role that balances patient care, teaching, and service development in a complex hospital environment.
Eligible for AHPRA registration and postgraduate training in spinal care
Skilled in supervising junior doctors and fostering a positive team culture
Strong communicator with proven ability to manage patients and resolve issues
Knowledgeable in hospital systems, clinical governance, and safety standards
