NALA Properties is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Director of SDA to work 1-2 days a week from home (any day of your choice).
Attractive pay, negotiable depending on experience. Applicant must have NDIS experience.
There is scope to increase the no. of working days as the organisation grows.
Role requirements include:
Property Management:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of SDA properties, including maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Conducting occasional property inspections and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
Managing tenant relationships, including lease agreements, rent collection, and resolving any disputes.
Ensuring the safety and security of tenants and the property, through regular checks of safety protocols by engaged technicians.
Financial Management:
Managing the financial aspects of SDA properties, including budgeting, invoicing, and rent collection.
Rent collection from Disability Support Pension. SDA collection from the NDIS Provider Portal.
Ensuring compliance with NDIS funding rules and regulations.
Preparing financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Tenant Support:
Providing support to tenants in navigating their NDIS plans and accessing support services.
Negotiating with the NDIA to ensure tenant SDA funding plans achieve the desired funding amount.
On-boarding of new tenants and discharge of vacating tenants.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and NDIS standards.
Implementing quality assurance measures to ensure the high-quality delivery of SDA services.
Conducting regular audits and reviews to identify and address any areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
Building and maintaining positive relationships with participants, SIL providers, participant support providers such as OTs and Guardians, and other stakeholders.
Representing the organization during meetings with partners and stakeholders.
Collaborating with other agencies and organizations to determine resident solutions
Key Skills and Experience:
Strong property management experience
Experience working with people with disabilities
Knowledge of the NDIS and relevant legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
