Senior Test Analyst / Test Lead - Utilities (Metering & Distribution)

• Initial 6 month contract + extensions
• $800 - $1100 per day (inclusive of super)

About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced and proactive Senior Test Analysts and hands-on Test Leads to join our growing team supporting critical projects within the utilities sector. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact programs in metering and distribution, where your expertise in testing complex market systems will play a key role in successful solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute functional and system testing across utilities projects
• Lead testing efforts in projects involving IEE (Interval Energy Engine) and UIQ (Utility IQ) enhancements
• Conduct end-to-end testing of market systems to ensure compliance and operational readiness
• Perform energy market testing, including B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2M (Business-to-Market) schema validations
• Support and execute SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) testing, including integration with metering systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, solution architects, and external vendors
• Identify, report, and track defects to resolution
• Lead and mentor junior testers (Test Lead roles only)
• Ensure test deliverables meet quality and regulatory standards within the energy sector

Key Requirements

• Energy / Utilities domain experience
• Proven experience as a Senior Test Analyst or Test Lead in the utilities industry
• Hands-on experience testing IEE and/or UIQ system changes
• Strong understanding of energy market operations, including B2B/B2M schema
• Demonstrated capability in end-to-end market system testing within a regulated environment
• Experience with SAP IS-U testing, especially in billing, metering, and device management modules
• Excellent test documentation, execution, and defect management skills
• Familiarity with test management tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or similar
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments

Desirable

• Exposure to regulatory reporting and compliance testing in the energy sector
• ISTQB certification
