CHP Australia is the peak industry body representing the non-prescription healthcare products sector, including over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, and complementary medicines. AdCheck is a key service provided by CHP Australia that reviews and assesses the compliance of therapeutic goods advertising across a range of media.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our Advertising Compliance Team. The primary focus of this role is to assess advertisements for therapeutic goods (non-prescription medicines, complementary medicines, and medical devices) for compliance with the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code (TGAC) and related regulatory instruments.
In addition to advertisement reviews, you will support the development and delivery of TGAC training seminars, contributing to both planning and facilitation. You may also be involved in broader projects across the organisation as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Review advertisements across various media channels to ensure compliance with the TGAC and relevant legislation.
Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to stakeholders on advertising submissions.
Assist in the preparation, coordination, and delivery of TGAC training and compliance seminars.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships.
Support other team or organisational initiatives as required.
Key Requirements
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly.
Impeccable attention to detail and a methodical, analytical work style.
Strong time management, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to critically appraise scientific data and literature and apply relevant legislation to advertising content.
Proven capability to make fast, accurate, and consistent decisions under pressure.
Highly Regarded
Experience in the OTC pharmaceutical, complementary medicine, or medical devices industry.
Prior exposure to the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code (TGAC).
Experience in a regulatory, compliance, or advertising review role.
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification is essential, ideally in pharmacy, science, marketing, or law.
