About the position
Permanent part-time (32 hours per week)
This role works across the Family & Children’s Services Team to support thriving children, families, and communities across the Shire.
The main responsibilities will include:
Providing early intervention, case work, counselling and referral for children, mothers and families who are vulnerable or at risk as part of the Enhanced Maternal Child Health program.
About you
A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Family/Welfare studies.
Proven experience working with vulnerable families utilising child centred family inclusive practice.
Understanding and experience with information sharing systems, Mandatory Reporting legislation, Child Protection and Family violence, The Orange Door and support agencies.
Highly developed assessment, referral, and documentation skills.
Current Victorian Driver’s License, Working with Children Check and recent National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
