About the role

Christian Fox Accountants is a growing boutique accounting firm with a strong client base across Sydney. We're looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join our close-knit team in Ingleburn, with the option to transition to our new Parramatta office in the near future.

Our Ingleburn office is ideally located opposite the train station (T8 Line) and has easy access to the M5 — perfect for commuting.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with our experienced team across a diverse client portfolio, with responsibilities including:

Preparing Financial Statements (incl. Depreciation Schedules) under Australian Accounting Standards

Preparing Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts, and SMSFs

Preparing BAS and IAS

Maintaining accurate and professional workpapers and client files

Researching tax legislation and advising clients accordingly

Participating in internal and external CPD and training

Ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures

Other duties as required

About You

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

✅ Key Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a public practice firm

Proficient with HandiSOFT suite (HandiTax, HandiLedger, HandiSuper)

Strong working knowledge of Xero and MYOB

Experience in preparing tax returns and financial statements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting

CA/CPA/IPA qualified, or currently undertaking studies

Knowledge of SMSF, CGT, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workcover

Strong ethical standards and confidentiality

Able to work independently and as part of a team
