About the Role
The Senior Adviser Site Contamination is responsible for the provision and interpretation of high quality professional advice, investigations and assignments and associated administrative support on issues relating to site contamination and associated statutory requirements under the Environment Protection Act 1993. The Senior Adviser Site Contamination is responsible for the performance of projects and works collaboratively with other members of the Site Contamination Branch and with the broader Environment Protection Authority. Liaison with other Government Departments and the broader community is also required.

The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the Environment Protection Act 1993 (EP Act) and the Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021 (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor degree in science, engineering or other recognised degree level qualification that is related to site contamination.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Postgraduate education in engineering, environmental, science or discipline related to site contamination, ecology, hydrogeology or toxicology.

Occupational Health and Safety Training in relation to site contamination issues.

Remuneration
PO3 ($101,285- $107,078 per annum) + 11.5% super added to your choice of super fund.

Contract
Long Term Contract (until 15 January 2027) and Full Time (37.5 hours per week).
