About the opportunity

Professor Yun-Hee Jeon is a highly respected academic and leading researcher with a clinical background in nursing, specialising in psychogeriatrics and gerontology. She is internationally recognised for her impactful contributions to the field of aged care and healthy ageing.

Her research focuses on developing innovative and evidence-based approaches to enhance the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of older people. A core element of her work is the advancement of person-centred care-a philosophy that underpins all her research and practice. Professor Jeon is committed to understanding and addressing not just the clinical needs of individuals, but also their capacities, preferences, and goals.

"Our work is about seeing the person, not just the condition," she explains. "We explore interventions that help older adults retain autonomy, dignity, and independence, even in the face of significant health challenges."

Professor Jeon leads collaborative, multidisciplinary research projects that are co-designed with aged care providers, clinicians, consumers, and policymakers-ensuring outcomes that are practical, scalable, and grounded in real-world care settings.

Collate, design, and present high-quality training materials tailored for aged care settings. Facilitate co-design workshops and incorporate feedback into resource development.
  • Communication:
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in all aspects of research, including reporting to stakeholders, contributing to publications, and liaising with partners.
  • Project Delivery:
Support the delivery of research projects from inception to completion, meeting deadlines and quality standards with the assistance of the broader team.
