About the role

Aurora Life is looking for a Medicinal Cannabis Nurse Practitioner to join our team in our Melbourne, VIC location. As a casual role, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly and contribute your expertise to our innovative medicinal cannabis operations. In this position, you will be responsible for providing specialised nursing care and support to our patients seeking treatment with medicinal cannabis.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualised treatment plans

Administering medicinal cannabis treatments and closely monitoring patient progress

Providing education and support to patients regarding the use of medicinal cannabis

Collaborating with the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care

Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements

Participating in the continuous improvement of our medicinal cannabis nursing practices

What we're looking for

Nurse practitioner registration in Australia (unrestricted)

In-depth knowledge of medicinal cannabis and its clinical applications

Demonstrated excellence in patient-centred nursing care and strong communication skills

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics and professional practice

Flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate the needs of our casual workforce

AHPRA authority to prescribe schedule 8 medication
