Senior Practice Leader

  • Full Time Permanent Position
  • Classification: SCHADS Level 5 with a salary range of $97,476 - $101,883; per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

The Senior Practice Leader (SPL) works in close partnership with the Service Manager to provide leadership, practice development and coaching sessions to service delivery staff. This position provides instruction and guidance on practice issues to a number of Towards Home+ staff including Case Managers and Lived Experience staff, applying coaching and mentoring principles. You will work with the Service Manager to establish and maintain strong working partnerships with clinical mental health teams and other community partner organizations to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers.

What you will bring to the role

  • Mentor up to seven Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Towards Home+ Workers
  • Provide orientation and induction for new staff in conjunction with Service Manager, and Learning & Development Team
  • Provide coaching and mentoring at a practical level to a number of Case Managers CRSWs on the provision of psychosocial rehabilitation and support services with a focus on applying the Collaborative Recovery Practice.
  • Provide new team members that you supervise with a probation assessment, and existing staff members with an annual performance review, and a corresponding training and development plan
  • Lead and participate in reflective practice through teammeetings, decision-making processes, service planning session, supervision and staff development activities
  • Act in the role of Service Manager when the usual manager is absent
  • Participate in a staff team who work together to achieve excellence in service delivery, within the available resources.

What the role requires

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work
  • Current Australian drivers licence and access to a car
  • Australian working rights
