About the role:
This role is primarily responsible for visual inspections of kerbside bin contents and condition. The inspections include placing a tag or sticker onto each bin to provide feedback to the user, such as household or business, related to the items they have placed into their bins. The role may include liaising with residents along with your manager.
There may be further roles available in future, if it suits the candidate, such as include physical waste auditing.
Location:
Townsville and other Queensland
Travel:
There may be future roles with travel to other locations across QLD and nationally.
Duties:
Early mornings, such as from 6am in various locations across the Townsville area – we can meet in a central location.
Meet your manager
Work as part of a pair of staff.
Visually survey bins into a tablet application.
Place tags or stickers.
Walk between properties.
Walk or drive between streets as required.
Responsibilities:
Report to your manager.
Ensuring all safety requirements are followed and obeyed and liaising with site management.
Following EC Sustainable safety procedures and policies.
Meeting the performance requirements for each job and ensuring projects are completed effectively and efficiently.
Ability to manage and work with a team.
Possibly drive company vehicles; ute, car, car license small truck.
Treat company vehicles and equipment responsibily.
Be physically fit and able to follow correct manual handling training techniques. A medical may be required.
Liaise with stakeholders including clients and members of public.
Ability to follow all company policies and procedures.
Required skills, experience and training:
WHS card training.
Vaccinations for Hep A, Hep B, Tetanus (a requirement of the waste industry) and many client work sites require vaccination for COVID to access their facilities.
Police record check
Preferred skills, experience and training:
Experience in the waste and recycling industry.
Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word and Project (or equivalent)
First aid training.
Term
3-6 months (Extension possible depending on probationary period)
Days per fortnight:
7+.
