The Opportunity:

Are you a wine enthusiast, craft beer connoisseur, or retail leader looking for your next challenge?

The Full Moon Hotel — proud recipient of the 2025 Queensland Hotels Association Hall of Fame award — is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Second-in-Charge (2IC) to join the team at Bottlemart Boondall, one of Brisbane’s most popular bottle shops.

If you have a keen nose for great wine, a sharp eye for presentation, and a genuine desire to help customers find their next favourite drop — we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Running the shop in the absence of the Retail Store Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

Assisting customers in selecting the perfect beer, wine, or spirit for any occasion

Supporting, training, and motivating a small team

Receiving, unpacking and restocking inventory — including physically lifting cartons and stacking fridges

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and product display

Getting creative with merchandising and bringing promotional campaigns to life

What We’re Looking For:

A current QLD RSA

A valid QLD Driver’s Licence and reliable transport

A friendly, approachable attitude and the confidence to lead by example

Solid computer and POS skills

Physically fit and willing to be hands-on

Minimum six months’ experience in retail or liquor, and proven leadership skills

Bonus Points For:

Strong knowledge of wine, craft beer, and boutique spirits

Stock control and invoice processing experience

A current forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one — we’ll assist)
