About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Officer to specialise in trust accounts within a busy national finance function. You will take ownership of trust processes and compliance, liaising with stakeholders across the firm and overseeing daily transactional activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating daily trust workflow within the team
- Processing trust receipts, payments, and PEXA settlements
- Preparing trust reconciliations
- Overseeing audit processes and compliance with statutory requirements
- Periodic trust reporting and lodgements
- Training staff on trust procedures and finance systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in a legal finance role, ideally with trust account exposure
- Strong knowledge of trust compliance and legal accounting principles
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of data
- Proficiency in Excel and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with Aderant or similar legal practice management systems (desirable)
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
