About the Role:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Air Freight Operations Specialist to manage end-to-end shipment processes across domestic, import and export air freight. This hands-on role involves moderate phone communication and a high volume of client and supplier correspondence via email. You'll join a highly skilled team of Dangerous Goods logistics experts dedicated to ensuring the safe and timely delivery of sensitive freight.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (on-site)

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all stages of air freight operations, ensuring smooth shipment flow
• Provide exceptional customer service during both pickup and delivery interactions
• Problem-solve complex, regulated Dangerous Goods shipments by air and road
• Book export shipments and track their progress end-to-end
• Review Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and handle DG repacking and documentation
• Support with shipment processing, packaging and dispatch
• Load and unload freight and perform basic vehicle maintenance
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners for timely collections
• Liaise with customs brokers for the release of international cargo
• Perform deliveries and collections throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas

Skills & Experience:

• High attention to detail and organisational skills
• A valid, clean driver’s licence
• Strong computer literacy, with experience in logistics systems preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines under pressure
• Knowledge of airfreight processes or DG accreditation is advantageous (training provided)
• Professional, customer-focused, and team-oriented attitude
• Proactive, dependable, and eager to learn
