About the Role:
Our client, an environmental company, are looking for Multiple Trade Assistants to join their team to perform basic maintenance and inspection of sewer mains, pipes, tanks, water and waste servicing stations.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8–10-hour shifts. The flexibility to work day and night shifts is required.

This is a consistent, casual full-time position with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position within 6-12 months of starting.

As a Trade Assistant the work requires you to complete a variety of duties that include but are not limited to:

• Enter confined spaces and pipes through a small hatch
• Work with piping, various tools, equipment and machinery
• Perform basic maintenance and inspection of sewer mains, pipes, tanks, water and waste servicing stations
• Operation of pipe CCTV equipment
• Operation of vehicle mounted cranes
• Driving of company vehicles
• General labouring duties

Skills and experience you need to be successful for this role:

• No direct experience is necessary, although experience in any of the following fields would be highly regarded: waste management, pipe laying, labourer, tradesman, construction, maintenance, landscaper, plumber
• Current working at heights, confined space and/or high pressure jetting tickets are highly desirable
• A current White Card (required)
• A current MR or HR driver's licence (required)
• A current Vehicle Loading Crane (VLC) license of 10 metre tonnes or more (required)
• High attention to detail
• A positive attitude
• A strong work ethic and strong reliability

*PLEASE NOTE: Applicants will be required to undertake a full medical assessment; drug screening and show evidence of or ability to obtain vaccinations for Hep A, Hep B and Tetanus to be eligible for this role. (This will all be organised for you at no expense of your own).
