Role
Reporting to the Precast Manager, the supervisor is a key member of the team where you will manage/lead crew's, drive daily production, allocate work and ensure quality/safety standards are achieved. Responsibilities include;
- Supervise and coordinate the workforce in the manufacturing of precast concrete components for application in major infrastructure projects.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specified quality standards.
- Monitor daily production schedules and adjust staffing or resources as needed to meet targets.
- Read and interpret production drawings and mold layouts.
- Oversee mold preparation, reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, curing, and demolding processes.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
- Conduct shift handovers, toolbox talks, and enforce health & safety policies.
- Train and mentor production workers on procedures and standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality departments to resolve issues promptly.
Background
To secure this opportunity, we are seeking an individual who meets the following criteria;
- Experience in the supervision of precast concrete products in either a manufacturing and/or construction environment.
- Knowledge of precast production processes, concrete and mold systems.
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role
- Experience in the management of a direct blue-collar workforce of up to 20 individuals
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Familiar with health, safety, and environmental standards applicable in a manufacturing setting.
