Our client, a well-regarded leader in the education sector, is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant or emerging Finance Manager to step into this rewarding 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial accounting function, including transactional accounting and cash-flow management
• Manage the full month-end process, including the preparation of the Leadership pack with results commentary
• Maintain data integrity within MYOB Advanced and the chart of accounts
• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations and reports
• Review working capital and cash-flow requirements daily
• Lead statutory compliance, including half-year and full-year external audits
• Review tax compliance issues arising from BAS and FBT
• Manage the government funding process, exploring new initiatives and handling compliance audits
• Support business administration and company secretarial work
• Lead and develop a team of 4 direct and 6 indirect reports across AR and Financial Accounting

Key Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in Financial/Management Accounting or similar
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CA or CPA qualification
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
